Week 4 of the college football season features the start of conference play for many teams and should not disappoint based on the schedule.
Clemson started things off with complete control of conference rival NC State, scoring 45 points in the first half for an easy victory that put it in a tie with Miami atop the ACC.
The first games also involved making history. James Madison scored more points in the first half against North Carolina than ever in a 70-50 rout (UNC also had never allowed more points in a half before Saturday). Later, Temple kicker Maddux Trujillo drilled a 64-yard field goal – the longest in 16 years and just one yard shy of Martin Gramatica’s record.
The big SEC showdown between Tennessee and Oklahoma is the highlight of Saturday night’s games.

Former Oklahoma QB and assistant Josh Heupel returns to Norman as head coach of the Volunteers on Saturday night. UT QB Nico Iamaleava has become the front-runner for the Heisman with his game so far, and a strong offense will put pressure on Oklahoma QB Jackson Arnold to get things going in the passing game.
